Prayer 101

There are a multitude of books on prayer and I have several of them on my book shelf.  I have come to realize that the best way to learn about prayer is to do it.  The more time spent in the presence of God the more He will direct you in communion with Him.

Prayer is one thing you can not mess up. Jesus instructed us not to use a multitude of  words,  James directs us to ask and to ask in faith, and Paul directs us to pray without ceasing.

Go into prayer believing that your Father in heaven desires to meet with you.
Take time to listen.  Prayer is not a monologue.  His sheep know His voice.
Finally pray day, night, at work, at home, in bed, jogging, hiking, etc. Pray without ceasing
