Heavenly Expectation

James 5:17-18

New King James Version (NKJV)
17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

What do you expect from God?  Condemnation? Punishment? Distance? What do you expect?

Elijah expected God to do all that God promised to do.  He expected God to hear and answer his prayers.  He expected God to stop the rain.  He was not presumptuous in his expectation.  He knew the heart of God and knew He would answer.

We are children of God.  Saved and sanctified by the blood of Jesus.  We are filled with the same Holy Spirit that rested upon Elijah.  We have everything we need to be affective in His kingdom.  Expect God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son to fulfill all that He has promised for you, in you and through you.

2 Corinthians 9:8

New King James Version (NKJV)
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
