Romans 1:18-20
New King James Version (NKJV)God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,Knowing God is and should be the desire of every man, woman and child ever born. It is one of the reasons for our creation. Paul in Romans explains that the willingness to deny God and the resiting of knowing Him is a reason for God's wrath. As followers of Jesus Christ it is not enough to believe in Him; he desires that we grow in the knowledge of Him and to be in constant communion with Him. We fall into the trap of if we work enough then we are pleasing God or if we go to church enough or give enough money, but God does not desire these things. What need of money does He have? What work that you do can He not complete Himself? While God uses use us and desires us to be givers it is not for His benefit. He desires that we know Him and then we can effectively give and work as unto the Lord.
One of the ways we can get to know Him more is meditating on His attributes, such as:
He is holy
He is righteous
He is love
He creates
Take time today to start your journey of knowing Jesus Christ wait on Him to reveal Himself to you.
Hosea 6:6

And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
